The Dirty Dean
	--------------
(in 'epsilon' minor)

There is so much greek
in my math homework
that it's plain for me to see
it's no so much math
it's just so much work
digging in, performing-
	Archeology.
There are so many professors
who so love their work
because playing with proof is playing God.
But it's hard to play
an impossible game
when your rule book was written
so the Dean could stay on top.

	Keep the seat,
	keep the seat,
you must publish if you want to keep the seat.
	Keep the seat,
	keep the seat!
You must publish if you want to keep your seat.

Is it so much work
to write good books?
In the hopes that we might learn.
But the author, here
has done no homework!
and the truth is hard
	to discern.
Would it be prudent
to leave Truth to students?
They are often working hard as you.
Just one example
of each small sample,
that's exactly what an author
	is supposed to do.

But "Here comes the Dean!"
The village screams,
"The Dean keeps The Department clean!"
So everyone works.
So everyone thinks.
At night, they go home,
	and everybody drinks.
And everyone sleeps,
and everyone dreams,
Couldn't it be better,
	wouldn't it be better,
	couldn't it be better,

	If I Were Dean.

	Keep the seat,
	keep the seat!
You must publish if you want to keep the seat.
	Keep the seat,
	keep the seat!
You must publish so the Dean can keep the seat.
	There are those who seek
	to make up Greek!
	Even the professors offer
	no retreat-
Now, I would hate the Dean
	but it would seem
you must publish if you want to keep the seat.
	Keep the seat,
	keep the seat!
You must publish if you want to keep the seat.

You must publish so the Dean can keep the seat.
